Row Hard No Excuses PR Materials
My friend Luke Wolbach made an award winning documentary about two middle-aged American men who race a row built they built by hand across the entire Atlantic Ocean, from the Canary Islands to Barbados in an official race. The only prize is a trophy. They come in 11th out of 35 teams and consider themselves failures. The documentary is more of a look at the damaged male psyche and self image in American culture and the unending lengths men endure to find self worth and love. It’s an epic movie and it was in the Slamdance Film Festival in Utah. I went to support Luke at the world premier of the movie. It has since made its way into two dozen festivals and won numerous awards. If the world goes as I hope it will, Luke will make the movie about all my trash.
Bag of Trash from Hawaii
Newman’s Own Organic Spelt Pretzels
They are so good. I have more bags of these pretzels than any other item in the collection. My friend Evan who lives in Maui loves them equally. Try them. It’s a religious experience.
Chocolate Bar Wrappers
I am a chocolate snob and consumed more chocolate this year
than perhaps the first 30 years of my life. I’ve often wondered why my heart
rate has increased and I’ve had so much energy this year. Now I know. Dagobah.
Green and Black. Equal Exchange. Newman’s. Whole Foods. Rapunzel. I’m a
freekin’ chocolate whore. For those of you who read the satirical newspaper,
the Onion, this may remind you of the famed article, “I’m like a choco-holic,
but for booze.” The Onion was my college newspaper at the
University of Wisconsin in Madison.
